Petit Parle comes to downtown Liverpool
For Immediate Release
Liverpool has a new French restaurant right in the heart of the business district. Situated on Fenwick Street in the heart of the commercial sector of the city and around the corner from the Liverpool One shopping centre Petit Parle brings a piece of Paris to Liverpool.
With a rustic feel and a very intimate 28 covers this little delight feels like you have stepped off a side street in the Le Cite district and into the heart of the French Capital. Small plates are the flavor of the day with around half of the menu being fish based. The menu is sourced locally with meats all coming from Hoylake, fruit and veg from Liverpool and mussels and oysters from Anglesey.
Executive Head Chef Lloyd Wilson said “We have been inspired to bring a French restaurant to the city centre after numerous trips to different parts of France, specifically Paris. Considering we are a maritime city there are not many restaurants in the city which are fish based. A fine selection of French wines, artisan breads and an evolving menu mean we can really be creative with our dishes.”
The restaurant has also paid a lot of attention to their drinks menu. The gins served are made from grapes, as is the way in France, as opposed to juniper berries. One drink that has also been popular since the restaurant opened at the end of April has been Frose. Lloyd explains “As we are in the Spring/Summer season now we have been making our own twist on Rose. Frose, a slush based wine cocktail has been really popular.”
With several food tasting events coming up Petit Parle looks like it fits into the ever growing offering of restaurants for foodies over in the commercial district.
